Duncan James is a British singer, actor and television presenter. He was born on 7 April 1978 in Salisbury, Wiltshire, England.
He first came to public attention in 2000 when the R&B/pop boyband, Blue came onto the scene and in 2001 would release their debut single, All Rise, which went to number four in the UK charts. He would continue his success, along with his three friends, until 2005 when they would call it a day. Since then, James has tried a solo music career, made his West End debut in the production of Chicago, appeared in an episode of the television show, The Bill, presented various talent contest programmes and continued his theatre work in the musical, Legally Blonde. Then in 2011 he would reunite with the boys from Blue to compete in the Eurovision Song Contest and in 2013 joined six other groups from the past in the reality show, The Big Reunion. In 2016 he has joined the cast of Hollyoaks, playing the role of Ryan Knight.
