Frank Bruno is a retired British professional boxer and is of Jamaican and Dominican descent. He was born on 16 November 1961 in Hammersmith, London, England.
He began his professional boxing career in 1982 and gained attention from many media outlets due to the streak he achieved, 21 consecutive wins by knockout. During his run, he held the European Heavyweight title (1985-86) and the WBC Heavyweight title (1995-96), has won 40 out of 45 bouts (38 knockouts), faced many greats, including, Mike Tyson and Lennox Lewis, and is known as one of the most popular celebrities of his time.
