Alan Taylor is a former professional footballer who played for West Ham United during the 1970s. He was born on January 22, 1953, in Ipswich, England.
Taylor began his football career at the age of 16 when he joined the youth team at Rochdale. He made his professional debut for Rochdale in 1971 and played for the club until 1974. In 1974, he was signed by West Ham United for a fee of £40,000.
Taylor quickly established himself as a key player for West Ham United and helped the team win the FA Cup in 1975.
