Christopher Edmund "Chris" Kirkland (born 2 may 1981) is an english footballer who plays as a goalkeeper for sheffield wednesday. Kirkland started his career at coventry city, where he was regarded as one of the country's most promising young goalkeepers. He was later signed by premier league side liverpool in 2001, where he went on to win one league cup, one fa community shield, one uefa super cup and the uefa champions league.
