Jane McDonald is a British singer, actress and television personality. She was born on 4 April 1963 in Wakefield, West Riding of Yorkshire, England.
She began her music career as a cruise ship entertainer, singing for the guests on board and became a huge name after her time on the television documentary, The Cruise (1998). After her success and subsequent popularity, she signed a recording contract and released her self-titled debut album in the same year, which reached number one in the UK charts. She has since gone on many tours performing music, wrote an autobiography and appeared in theatre productions, including the musical Cats, which she plays the lead role, Grizabella in 2015. She is also recognised as one of the panellists on the lunchtime television programme, Loose Women.
