Johnny Depp is an American actor and producer. He was born on 9 June 1963 in Owensboro, Kentucky, USA.

He made his acting debut as Glen Lantz in A Nightmare on Elm Street (1984) and has gone on to appear and star in many film projects throughout his career. Some of his best known roles have been as the titular character in Edward Scissorhands (1990), Jack Sparrow in the Pirates of the Caribbean series of films and Willy Wonka in Charlie and the Chocolate Factory (2005). He also started his own production company, called Infinitum Nihil in 2004 and has done some work as a musician, collaborating alongside many top acts such as Oasis and Marilyn Manson, appeared in music videos and formed a group called Hollywood Vampires with Alice Cooper and Joe Perry in 2015.
