The Musketeers is a British television series, airing from 19 January 2014 on the BBC, created by Adrian Hodges and is based on the book, The Three Musketeers, by Alexandre Dumas.
It is set in 1630s Paris and shows a group of highly trained musketeers who meet a young hopeful and their fight to protect King and country. It stars Tom Burke, Santiago Cabrera, Peter Capaldi and Howard Charles as Athos, Aramis, Cardinal Richelieu and Porthos respectively.
